Rookie ~ Novice Class

 

This class is designed for new and upcoming drivers as a place to gain experience without the pressure of more seasoned drivers.

Novices/Rookies/Newcomers ONLY (see race director)

Any 1/10th scale vehicle may be used. (NO 1/8th Scales !!)

Any modifications (motor, etc) must be approved by the race director.

RACE DIRECTOR'S discretion, as driver gains experience they WILL be advanced to a higher class.

Once you run a higher class you will not be able to return to Rookie Class.

Stock 1/10th Slash Short Course Truck (Spec class)

Must have a Short Course Truck Body, NO exceptions (Aftermarket SCT body is OK)

Must be STOCK Traxxas Slash 2WD

6 or 7 cell NIMH, or any 7.4 volt 2cell Lipo(max)

Stock Traxxas XL-5 ESC/Titan 12turn motor ONLY

Any TRAXXAS Option Part Designed For Slash That Does Not Alter Width or Suspension Geometry

Must use SC type tires and 2.2 inner 3.0 outer 1/10 scale SC wheels (Tire selection is open to your choice)

RPM Brand Exact Replacement Parts Allowed

 

Stock 1/10th Short Course Truck (17.5 / Blinky)

 

Must have a Short Course Truck Body, NO exceptions (Aftermarket SCT body is OK)

Any 2WD  1/10th Production SC Truck (“TEAM” type kits OK, But must use the required electronics)

6 or 7 cell NIMH, or any 7.4 2cell Lipo(max)

Stock RTR brushed motors from any of the Short Course Production Trucks (SC10, Blitz, Strike, Slash, Kyosho, Etc Etc ), may also be used.

Brushless motors can be any 17.5 Rating or higher Brushless Motor (ROAR approved) (NO D3.5 Motors)

The use of boost/turbo/timing or any other method of Performance enhancing tuning is prohibited (Blinky Mode)

Any other Stock equivalent Brushed motor may be used(includes 27t aftermarket spec motors 540 can)

Any Transmitter/Receiver system may be used, AM or FM radios MUST use frequency clips BEFORE use.

Must use SC type tires and  2.2 inner 3.0 outer 1/10 scale SC wheels (Tire selection is open to your choice)
